The National Coordinator of Team Akpabio for Tinubu (TAT), Hon. Felix Ngutswen, has appointed veteran journalist, Mr. Idorenyin Umoren, as Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
The appointment, conveyed in a letter dated September 14, 2025, mandates Mr. Umoren to handle press releases on behalf of the National Coordinator and oversee the publication of TAT News.
A seasoned journalist from Akwa Ibom State, Umoren brings to the role a wealth of experience in political communication and media management. He is a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN).

He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. His career spans several editorial and managerial positions, including production editor, deputy production manager, and head of news at The Pioneer, a state-owned newspaper in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.
In 2013, Umoren represented Akwa Ibom State in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa, where he covered the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference and other international events.
Beyond newsroom leadership, he is the publisher of The SituationReport magazine and The NewsDesk online newspaper. A Justice of Peace (JP), Umoren is married to Mandu, and they are blessed with three children.
