The people of Ikot Atanguma, Ikot Itok, Ikot Abasik Abin, and Afia Nsit Uwa Nko respectfully seek your urgent intervention over the deplorable condition of our access roads.
These roads, vital arteries linking communities, markets, farms, schools, and health centers, have long been left out of government’s capital allocations and feasibility studies. The absence of any clear plan for their rehabilitation or reconstruction has deepened our worries, given their critical role in local commerce, safety, and rural development.
Afia Nsit Uwa Nko in particular, along with Ikot Abasik Abin, has been crying out for inclusion in government’s road projects, but no visible commitment has been made to date. Our farmers, traders, schoolchildren, and the sick are daily exposed to hardship simply because these lifelines remain broken and forgotten.
We know Your Excellency as a passionate, people-centered governor who listens and acts. That is why we turn to you with this heartfelt plea:
Kindly commission feasibility studies and prioritize the rehabilitation of Ikot Atanguma–Ikot Itok Road, Ikot Abasik Abin Road, and Afia Nsit Uwa Nko Road.
Consider the socio-economic importance of these communities as you allocate resources in the coming budgets.
Our appeal is not merely for convenience but for survival, dignity, and equitable development. We believe that under your compassionate leadership, these forgotten roads can become testimonies of your administration’s inclusive vision for Akwa Ibom State.
