President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pledged to undertake an official visit to Akwa Ibom State to commission completed projects, following a meeting with Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno at the State House, Abuja.
The President received Akpabio, who represents Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District, and Governor Eno at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, where discussions included his anticipated visit to the state.
During the meeting, President Tinubu gave a firm commitment to visit Akwa Ibom for the commissioning of projects, despite the ongoing rollout of campaign activities.
The planned visit is expected to provide an opportunity to showcase completed infrastructure and other development projects in Akwa Ibom State. However, the date of the visit and the specific projects to be commissioned were not disclosed in the announcement.
The development has generated expectations in the state as preparations are anticipated to welcome the President for the official engagement.
