EXCLUSIVE: Effanga Bows Out as Akwa Ibom INEC REC, Heads to Edo on Redeployment

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Akwa Ibom State has held a valedictory meeting in honour of its outgoing Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Hon. Obo Effanga, Esq, following his redeployment to Edo State.
The meeting, which brought together members of the state management team and Electoral Officers, was presided over by the outgoing REC, marking a formal close to his tenure in the state.

Hon. Effanga, who oversaw key electoral activities during his time in Akwa Ibom, expressed appreciation to the management staff and Electoral Officers for their cooperation and support. He urged them to remain committed to the core values of professionalism, transparency, and integrity in the discharge of their duties.

Colleagues at the meeting commended his leadership style, noting his contributions to strengthening electoral processes and institutional discipline within the commission in the state.

The redeployment is part of INEC’s routine administrative measures aimed at enhancing efficiency and maintaining operational balance across states.

Hon. Effanga is expected to assume duties in Edo State in his new capacity, while arrangements for his successor in Akwa Ibom are anticipated in due course.
