University of Uyo Elevates 123 Scholars to Senior Academic Ranks

The University of Uyo has announced the promotion of 123 academic staff members to senior ranks, conferring professorial titles on 65 newly elevated Professors and 58 Associate Professors.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, made the announcement during the 138th Meeting of the University Senate held on Wednesday. He noted that the promotions reflect the institution’s commitment to rewarding excellence, adding that recognition of hard work serves as a strong motivation for staff to continually strive for academic and professional distinction.

Presiding over what marked his final Senate meeting as Chairman, the outgoing Vice Chancellor expressed profound gratitude to members of the University community for their support throughout his five-year tenure. He commended the collective efforts that, according to him, contributed significantly to the progress recorded during his administration.

Professor Ndaeyo’s tenure is expected to conclude soon, with the promotions standing as part of the lasting legacy of his leadership at the institution.
