A worshipper at the ongoing Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) convention at Redemption City, Ogun State, has shared an unusual testimony of how a request she made jokingly during Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s 83rd birthday celebration allegedly resulted in the birth of triplets.
The woman, who identified herself as a member of RCCG Region 12, gave the testimony during the Friday Holy Ghost Service at the convention, recounting how she asked God for triplets because she wanted to have the “three” in Pastor Adeboye’s 83rd birthday age.
According to her, worshippers were encouraged during the celebration to ask God for whatever they desired. She said she jokingly told God that since the church’s General Overseer was celebrating 83 years, she wanted the “three” and therefore requested triplets.
“Last year, when Daddy G.O., Pastor Adeboye, was celebrating his 83rd birthday, they asked us to request from God whatever we wanted.
“So I jokingly said, ‘Daddy G.O. is celebrating 83 years, so I want the three on it.’ I asked God for triplets,” she said.
She explained that when she eventually became pregnant, an initial scan showed that she was carrying twins. However, after seven months, another scan revealed that she was carrying three babies.

The revelation, she said, was difficult to believe, prompting her to undergo four different scans to confirm the development.
“When I got pregnant, I did a scan and it showed two. After seven months, it showed three. I did not believe it, so I did four different scans,” she recounted.
The woman said the delivery was followed by another frightening experience when one of the babies allegedly began bleeding from the mouth and nose.
She said she prayed for the child and vowed to return to the church with the three babies for a testimony if they all survived.
“Then I said, ‘God of Adeboye, this was not what I requested for. It was just a joke.’ Afterward, I delivered the triplets, then the devil wanted to take one,” she said.
“One of them started bleeding from the mouth and nose, so I took my scarf and prayed to the God of Adeboye.”
She subsequently introduced the three children Destiny, Desmond and Diamond to the congregation, describing their survival as a fulfilment of the request she had made jokingly.
The testimony was among several accounts shared during the Friday Holy Ghost Service of the ongoing RCCG convention, which has drawn worshippers from across Nigeria and other parts of the world to Redemption City.
