Pastor Umo Eno recorded a resounding victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship direct primary election conducted at Etoi Secondary School, Ward 5 in Uyo Local Government Area, amid widespread support from party faithful and stakeholders.
The exercise, which witnessed a large turnout of APC members and supporters, was conducted peacefully under the supervision of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and designated returning officers.
The Executive Chairman of the Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA), Hon. Anietie Eka, alongside his wife, Lady Mercy Eka, actively participated in the voting process, reaffirming their commitment to the democratic exercise and the APC leadership in the state.
Also present at the primary election were notable party stalwarts and stakeholders, including Hon. Donatus, Prince Obot James, Hon. Abasiakan, Hon. Anthonia Edem, Hon. Nsikan Aqua, and Hon. Nsikak Essien, among others, commended the orderly conduct of the exercise.
Party supporters at the venue expressed confidence in Pastor Umo Eno’s leadership capacity, describing his emergence as a reflection of the overwhelming acceptance he enjoys among APC members in the ward.
The peaceful conduct of the primary and the massive turnout of voters further underscored the growing unity and strength of the APC structure in Ward 5 and across the state.
