Nigerian Police officers, both serving and retired, are set to benefit from over ₦7 billion in housing and mortgage support under a nationwide welfare intervention aimed at improving living conditions within the Force.
The funding package is designed to provide financial relief for home ownership, renovation of existing properties, and refunds under the National Housing Fund (NHF) scheme. It targets officers across various ranks, reflecting a renewed commitment to addressing long-standing housing challenges faced by police personnel.
According to available details, the initiative will support officers seeking to purchase residential properties, carry out critical home renovations, and access NHF contributions already made during their years of service.
Retired personnel are also included, underscoring the programme’s broader welfare focus beyond active service.
