The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Nigerian Exporters (ANE), Prince Joseph Idiong, has been announced as the keynote speaker at the Africa SME Assembly 2025 scheduled to hold on Thursday, August 28, at The Stable, 45 Bode Thomas Street, Surulere, Lagos.
Prince Idiong will speak on the theme “Closing the Export Gap: Policy, Partnerships & Pathways for SMEs”, highlighting strategies to strengthen small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Africa’s export landscape.
The Assembly, which kicks off at 9 a.m., is designed to empower entrepreneurs with practical opportunities. Organizers disclosed that 100 exporters will be selected for empowerment during the event, while beneficiaries will participate in an eight-week Virtual Accelerator Programme aimed at helping startups access funding and attract investment.
In addition, participants stand the chance to benefit from export invoice financing provided by the event sponsor, a move expected to ease financial constraints facing many SMEs in the export business.
The Africa SME Assembly 2025 is open for both physical and virtual participation. Members of the ANE-DG’s delegation can attend in person at no cost, while others may register online to join virtually.
According to the organizers, the forum is expected to serve as a major platform for driving policy conversations, building partnerships, and creating pathways for African SMEs to compete effectively in the global export market.
