Akwa United FC reignited their relegation survival bid with a commanding 2-0 victory over Bayelsa United on Sunday.
The result lifts the Promise Keepers’ hopes but sets up a tense final-day showdown. To retain their top-flight status, Akwa United must defeat Heartland FC in Owerri on matchday 38 and hope that either Elkanemi Warriors or Katsina United drop points at home.
Only a win and a bit of luck, can save Akwa United from the drop.
