The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly (AKHA) has cleared and confirmed Mkpisong Frank Archibong as a Commissioner-designate, paving the way for his appointment into the State Executive Council.
During his screening before the House on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, Archibong reaffirmed his commitment to Governor Umo Eno’s administration and its ARISE Agenda, a policy framework focused on sustainable development and governance.

“Governor Umo Eno has painstakingly served the people of Akwa Ibom with diligence, and I will continue to promote his ARISE Agenda policy,” Archibong stated. “I will also support him to ensure he serves Akwa Ibom for a full eight-year tenure as Governor.”
His confirmation was met with commendation from the lawmakers, who expressed confidence in his ability to contribute effectively to the state’s progress.
