PDP Ward 2 Central Inaugurates Unit Excos in Unit 025 Idung Nkan

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 2 Central has inaugurated the Unit Executive Committee for Unit 025, Idung Nkan, in a well-attended event that reinforced the party’s commitment to grassroots development and unity.

The inauguration ceremony was led by the Ward Chairman, Comr. Utibe Akpekong, and was met with enthusiasm as party members turned out en masse. The Unit Chairman, Mr. Godwin Ettentuk, warmly received the delegation and expressed gratitude for their presence.

In his address, Comr. Akpekong emphasized the significance of forming unit executives, stating that their primary role is to promote unity, inclusiveness, and the overall well-being of party members at the grassroots level. He credited the Honourable Commissioner, Mkpisong Frank Archibong, and Governor Pastor Umo Eno for fostering peace, prosperity, and political stability in the state.

Mr. Godwin Ettentuk, in his remarks, urged the newly inaugurated executives to remain committed to their duties, adhere to party principles, and work harmoniously with the leadership for the progress of the ward.

ObongAwang Elizabeth Ettentuk, who oversaw the selection process, assured party members that those chosen were capable of delivering on their responsibilities. She encouraged them to uphold the peace and unity of the unit. Similarly, the Unit Coordinator, Mr. Etteobong Ettentuk, advised the executives to serve with integrity, transparency, and accountability.

The legal adviser of the ward administered the oath of office to the newly appointed executives, formally inducting them into their roles.

A key highlight of the event was the unit’s unanimous endorsement of Governor Umo Bassey Eno for re-election in 2027, a move that reaffirmed their confidence in his leadership and governance.

Comr. Akpekong expressed gratitude to all attendees for their unwavering support and dedication to his administration. He acknowledged the contributions of party leaders and thanked God for the successful inauguration.

The event was attended by several key party officials, including Mrs. Imaobong Akwaowo (Vice Chairman), Mr. Charles David (Ward Secretary), Mr. Israel Akpan (Ward Financial Secretary), Mrs. Patience Alfred (Legal Adviser), Miss Udeme Daniel (Ward Woman Leader), Mr. Eyridua Friday (Youth Leader), Blessing David (Ex-Officio), Mr. Sunday Nse (Ex-Officio), and Chief Akpan Dabby (Ex-Officio).

The inauguration further solidified the PDP’s grassroots mobilization efforts and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering unity and development in the ward.
